(ABS News: Baz Ruddick)

I am a dedicated fourth year marketing and animation student with a strong passion for event managment specifically within the video games industry. With over 3 years customer service and esports administration experience, I have developed my leadership, communication and organisational skills as well as my knowledge within the entertainment industry. I am highly motivated by event mangement, hosting and organising several Pinball Competitions on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane in my spare time. Upon graduating at the end of 2025, I am seeking opportunities to apply my developed skills and knowledge within a marketing or management job within to enhance the growth of the entertainment industry within Australia.

Esports Officiator
Queensland University of Technology

  • Responsible for administrating team registration & tournament games for QUT's Intervaristy League of Legends and High school events

  • Organise and administrate team rosters, event rulesets, event and staff schedueles, and officiating documents prior to tournaments

  • Create graphics and overlays for Vmix Stream package for OLI series

Head Referee
Esportable Project - Queensland University of Technology

  • Responsible for acting as head referee & tournament administrator for Rocket League and Marvel Rival tournaments for the EsportAble Project

  • Duties include problem-sovling technical issues on the go, organising stream games, directing players to their stations and organising player registration at the event

  • Edit and create marketing and entertainment clips from coaching sessions and past VODs of Esportable events for production

Tournament Administration
Queensland Esports

  • Responsible for being head tournament administrator at Queensland Esport Events including High School events and the Acer Predator QEG Fest at the EKKA

  • Effective communicator, manager & leader to efficiently organise and administrate tournaments and live events for Queensland Esports

  • Trained to organise and host various game titles including Rocket League, League of Legends, Mincreaft Education CTF, EAFC25, NBA2K25, Brawlhalla and Eracing sims
